“The same goes to M40 group that have their income tax data with IRB, they too do not need to register, as they will be evaluated based on their incomes and other criteria as set by the government,” the statement read.

IRB said the recipients can check on their BPN status via online starting today at IRB’s website www.hasil.gov.my or https://bpn.hasil.gov.my.

“Should their status appear as ‘no record’ they can make new application by clicking on the ‘new application’ button.

“New application is open until April 30.”

iii. The result will appear.

“For unsuccessful applications, appeals can be made via online at IRB’s website www.hasil.gov.my or https://bpn.hasil.gov.my starting Apr 3.”

IRB also reminded that there will be no manual application using forms for now, as all IRB premises were temporarily closed until Movement Control Order ends on Apr 14.

“Given the high traffic to the official websites mentioned above, please expect some delays.

“The public are advised to check their status during non-peak hours.

“For record, BPN payment will be made in stages; April and May.”

About nine million Malaysians will receive cash aid between RM500 and RM1,600 under BPN, as part of the Prihatin Rakyat Economic Stimulus Package as announced by Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin last Friday.
